From a young age, I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Growing up, I found myself engaging in various ventures such as selling scrap metals on behalf of my school, washing bikes in exchange for money, and even opening the first Facebook accounts for my friends - helping them connect and build relationships. These experiences taught me the value of resourcefulness, innovation, and determination in pursuing my goals.
I have been driven by a relentless curiosity and a deep sense of purpose to create meaningful change in the world. I firmly believe that by combining innovative thinking with collaboration, we can unlock the true potential of individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. As an entrepreneur, I have learned that the greatest opportunities often lie at the intersection of diverse disciplines, cultures, and ideas. This realization has inspired me to embark on projects that not only challenge conventional wisdom but also have the potential to transform industries and improve lives. One of the most transformative experiences of my life was volunteering as a teaching assistant at Kyangwali Refugee Camp. This opportunity opened my eyes to the stark reality that while talent is evenly distributed, opportunity is not. I realized that access to education, which many people take for granted, is not available to everyone. This realization ignited a passion within me to work towards creating a more equitable and inclusive world through education.
Disillusioned by it’s inadequacy in preparing me for the future while paying hefty fees from my personal savings, I dropped out of a “mediocre college” in Uganda and embarked on a journey of self-directed learning. This led me to join a cognitive science lab at UC Davis, where I explored new ways of thinking, learning, and problem-solving. Additionally, I participated in Global Citizen Year's Leadership as a Practice program, which identifies and develops promising future changemakers. Furthermore, I was part of the Mastercard Fellowship on Innovation & Entrepreneurship, gaining valuable training from Queen's University's DDQIC Program.
My experiences have shaped me into a generalist in the making - someone who embraces a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills to tackle complex challenges. At the core of my work is a dedication to fostering innovation, collaboration, optimism, and faith. With AirDrop Labs, I have the privilege of working with talented entrepreneurs, helping them navigate the complex startup landscape and providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive. The International Tertiare Organization, meanwhile, embodies my vision for a more connected and equitable future in higher education, where students and educators can collaborate across borders to tackle the world's most pressing challenges.
In all that I do, I strive to remain true to my values, always seeking new ways to learn, grow, and contribute to the greater good. I am excited to continue this journey, connecting with like-minded individuals and working together to create a brighter and more sustainable future for all. I believe that together, we can create a world where everyone has the chance to learn, grow, and contribute to a brighter, more inclusive, and sustainable future.
